Global and District Grant Projects
Rotary District 6600 is fortunate to have generous donors to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International which allows us to receive substantial amounts in return to fund many local, regional and international projects. Clubs regularly collaborate to combine forces and monies to stretch the impact.
Mongolia’s first birthing simulation center.
Development of Mongolia’s first Birthing Simulation Center to train undergraduate and graduate personnel including physicians and midwives. The center will be used by all hospitals and clinics. A VTT team of midwives will be trained in America. Eleven clubs in three districts are funding the global project of $61,500.
Providing safe drinking water to 10 rural communities in North Central Sri Lanka.

Distribution of mosquito nets during a malarial control project in the slums of Kawempe area of Kampala, Uganda. Malaria is the number one killer in Uganda. A club to club project making a difference.
Establishing classroom libraries throughout schools in Vietnam.
Establishing classroom libraries throughout the schools in Gio Lihn District, Quang Tri Province, Vietnam. 6,370 students and 362 educators benefited from this global grant project with participation from 2 Districts and 12 clubs.
Packing meals in collaboration to benefit villages in Guatemala.

Construction of a milking parlor for the Precious Life Foundation, a program house for teenage mothers in Zimbabwe. A cooperative project with another district using DDF and club monies to fund the $10,475 project.
