Helyn C. Bolanis has been a Rotarian since 1995 and currently is the District Governor Elect for District 6600 in Ohio, USA. She is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the Paul Harris Society. Helyn also served as charter trustee for the $2 million Toledo Rotary Foundation from 2000-2006. She was president of the 440 member Rotary Club of Toledo in 2008-09. At the club level, she was Chairman of the Disability Services, Programs, Classification, Foundation Advisory and Past Presidents Committees and a member of several other committees. She is a member of the Rotary Leadership Institute and has attended Uniendo in Central America.

Helyn is the founder and Chief Investment Officer for Parlan Financial Corporation in Toledo Ohio. She has 22 consecutive years of achievement as CEO, Chief Investment Officer, and majority stockholder at the firm.

She attended the University of Toledo School of Business and the American College in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania and holds the professional designations of CLU and ChFC. She is a former Certified Financial Planner (CFP), resigning her designation when her daily focus migrated from financial planning to active investment management.

She has served on the corporate boards of the YMCA/JCC of Northwest Ohio, Junior Achievement of Northwest Ohio, and Josina Lott Residential & Community Services, Inc.

She has one child, Nichole, living in Pasadena, California.
